The Worker:
Over the last few weeks, I've come across a few friends who through different circumstances, have had to take up the other form of the service industry. Till now, not one of them has ever asked for pity. They are very much aware of their realities and put on these masks of beauty and grim determination that hides the sweat off their brow because no client wants to feel responsible for their actual circumstances.
I dedicate this piece to those indomitable women, who are often looked over or treated with contempt. I dedicate it in awe of The Worker and her determination.
